Spellcrafter: The Path of Magic app for iPhone and iPad
PLEASE NOTE: Due to high-quality graphics this game is not recommended for the iPhone 4. The game is not compatible with the iPod touch 4th.
Magic is neither an art nor a religion. Magic is a craft.
Experience an amazing and unforgettable adventure set in a dark fantasy universe!
Spellcrafter: The Path of Magic is an RPG game with deep tactical turn-based combat and a unique spell casting system. Explore a world full of magic, collect gold, interact with NPCs, go on quests and make moral choices! Recruit heroes, assemble and summon powerful armies and send them into battle!
The unique feature of Spellcrafter: The Path of Magic is the spell casting system. The game recognizes signs you draw on the screen and automatically chooses the desired spell from the spellbook. If you don’t remember the correct sign you can consult the spellbook, but beware! Reaching for the spellbook takes extra time, and the quicker you cast your spell the more powerful it will be!
The game is divided into 3 acts. Each act tells a part of a compelling and magical story about the nature of reality, power and morality. Additionally, each act features 3 levels with a different setting and a different playable character (human, necromancer, elf).
Spellcrafter is a Premium Game (no IAPs, no F2P mechanics).
Pros and cons of Spellcrafter: The Path of Magic app for iPhone and iPad
Spellcrafter: The Path of Magic app good for
nice idea regarding gameplay
also nice story - tutorial is not necesary
I really like it
While it is a little rough around the edges, the core gameplay is fun. If the developer is willing to update it the could be great little game.
Some bad moments
Insane. Impossible to get how to draw a spell and no way to test it out of battle. The only way is to load the game again and again. Waste of money.
I can see what they were trying to do here. But a bad interface and lack of tutorial ready hinder the game.
In combat, using melee units is extreme finicky. More than half the time when i go to attack, my unit will simply walk up beside the opponent.
It has a Heroes of Might and Magic feel but there are only three units in the game. And its very linear. You happen to get enough gold to buy the next store of troops.
Cant recommend until they polish this game.
Decent game and graphics but still very buggy and requires some updates to address issues.
You always do the same things. The battle are always the same.
This game crash every time i start the game. Jujubee should fix it ASAP.
If your a fan of fantasy and magic, then this game is for you. The spell casting is a little awkward and the turn based combat takes a little use to. Its a combination of strategy, RPG adventure and great graphics runs smoothly on my iPad 3. I look forward to more games like this. The three bucks I paid was worth the price.
